Jianfei Zhang

Zhang is the founder and principal scientist of MedicineX. He has long been interested in AI and data mining, with a particular focus on biomedical informatics; this has driven him to contribute to leading conferences like AAAI, ICDM, and CIKM, alongside publishing in journals like AIM, DMKD, and KBS. His work has been recognized through many awards, including Best Students' Paper Prize from the Québec health system - Centre de recherche du CHUS (CRCHUS) in 2019, Best Paper Award at CIKM 2021, Best Application Paper Award at PAKDD 2019, and the Best Doctoral Thesis Award from the Faculté des sciences de l'Université de Sherbrooke in 2019. He has had the opportunity to study and work at Université de Sherbrooke, University of Alberta and Amii, and Case Western Reserve University.
